Lily, a rescued puppy mill breeding dog was the inspiration to form the non-profit organization, National Mill Dog Rescue. This is first of a three part series about NMDR. This article is the beginning of my campaign to end animal abuse and get rid of Puppy Mills. Thank you for reading what I have written here, you can bet your life you’ll hear more from me on this issue.
This scene exemplifies what puppy mills do to man’s best friend. The conditions this dog was exposed to left it without the ability to stand by itself and was petrified by the loving hands it had never seen before. Dogs brought into the “auction ring” are carried to the display table and lifted into the air. If done otherwise, it would be obvious to all that their life in a small cage has left them without the confidence, or ability, to stand for themselves. Wisconsin needs legislation to control / abolish this inhumane industry.
