Congratulations to Carole Raphaelle Davis and Carole Sax for being honored at Much Love Animal Rescue’s Bow Wow WOW Howlywood 3rd Annual benefit at The Lot in West Hollywood, CA for their relentless anti-puppy mill work. The Caroles have been successful in rallying their troops to shut down (or turn humane-adopting out only rescued animals) lots of pet stores that used to get their animals from puppy and kitten mills. Carole Raphaelle Davis is the Los Angeles Director of CAPS, (Companion Animal Protection Society) and Carole Sax is the Volunteer Coordinator for CAPS. Priscilla Presley and United Talent Agency’s Jacob Fenton were also honored for their outstanding contribution towards helping animals at the event, held August 22, 2009. www.caps-web.org http www.muchlove.org I regret not getting the whole speech from them. This is only the last half or so. Carole Sax paid a moving tribute to her father who was a veterinarian that I didn’t get on film, sadly. Ms. Davis is a huge part of taking clients from puppy factories like the Hunte Corporation by consistently turning pet stores humane or shutting them down with her effective campaigns with CAPS (after only 3 protests, Aquarium & Pet Center in SM just agreed to only offer rescued dogs. Shutting down the puppy mills=less cage cleaning. What Carole Davis & Carole Sax do helps make everyone’s job easier in the long run. We need to shut the faucet off at the source: puppy mills.
