I found a stray cat about 2 months ago.. i took him to the vet and it turned out he had aids and lukemia.. he was about a year old and i was told that he would only live to be about 3. Last minute i decided to take him in, to give him the life he never had. It was the best desicion i have ever made. His name is Roger. I made a promise to myself that i will only take in animals who really need it and spread the word about puppy mills. Thank you for having a heart. <3
That was a truly a beautiful story and I hope this opens the eyes of a lot of people. I must say this had me bawling like a baby.
I also cried so much while watching this.
Thank you for doing this.. After the tragic end for Mia I was very afraid for Nellie so her surving was truly a blessing and Kathleen you’re an inspiration and we need more people like you so THANK YOU and GOD BLESS YOU !!
wow- i never cry, but this did it.
thank you for spreading the word.
aww god blest mia!
What a strong ending. I loved the whole story especially how it ended. Very impressive.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for making this video and for rescuing these animals.
GOD BLESS YOU.
wow your amazing! i wish i could save dogs from puppy pills like Mia i feel soo bad for them… is breeding hedgehogs as bad as breeding dogs? ( im a small hobby breeder and i breed once in a while )
The simple answer is NO. A responsible breeder will NOT sell puppies to a pet store. So any store selling puppies is getting them from a breeder you would not want to deal with.
The better question is, with so many shelters, breed rescues, and responsible breeders to choose from… why would you want to take your chances with a pet store anyway?
I was so happy to read about Nellie…..I was afraid she might be gone……God bless you both
is ANY pet store legit??
Kathleen says thank you for the kind words. And Nellie is still with us… she turns 16 this year and is in very good shape!
you are a terrific lady; a caring vet……..is Nellie still with you?
Its okay because now you know and you want to do something about it.
Its really a terrible industry…
We wanted a puppy that would be a big dog, and now that I think about it, I have not ever been to a animal shelter and that would have been the perfect opportunity to go. I will give him the best life, but in the near future my hubby and I are going to give back to the animal shelter the $162 we spent on killing a ma and pa breeding tool.
I would like to know what I can do to educate others on the bad decision I made this year to buy the fattest little mixed breed pup in the shop because at the time he was soooo cute. Now I regret spending money on him when I could have went to the pound and I still would not have spent as much getting a full breed puppy, shots and all, as I spent on him. We love him, and want to treat him the best, but we did not save him, we hurt his mother and father.
