$1,000 in vet bills
Puppy purchase led to $1,000 in vet bills
We bought a dog back in August from Doggie World.
Our puppy was very sick as well. She had to have a biopsy done on her glands and she also had blood and mucus in her stool.
We were unhappy with the treatment given to her at the animal hospital (Doggie World uses) and had her records transferred to Langley Animal Hospital where she received excellent treatment.
She was diagnosed with submandibular, lymphadenopathy and lethargy as well as diarrhea.
She was also checked for the parvo virus and it was negative.
All in all, our vet bills were close to $1,000. We called Doggie World to tell them our puppy was sick and that she should advise or at least check up with people that had purchased puppies from the same litter.
The owner Alycia did not seem overly sympathetic at the time and we never received any follow up calls on our puppies progress from the her.
Our puppy is a healthy and active little girl now, but it was very scary as she was so ill when we brought her home.
My niece also bought two puppies there that had health issues as well, but are now healthy.
On one of our visits to the store, my daughter observed a tub with baby puppies the size of rats in it left unattended with no mother in the back of their store.
I hope these people are shut down. My experience was not a good one dealing with these people.
Thank you for reporting on this situation, keep up the good work. I hope to read soon they have been shut down.
I hope many people come forward to share their experiences about these people.
