PetLand purchases puppies for retail sale from Hunte Corporation based in Missouri. For decades people have fought to expose the cruel practices of these breeders. i WORK at a petland & first the petland i work at does NOT get puppies from puppy mills. ALL the puppies must have their 1st shots BEFORE they even come in the store. 2nd they all come in HEALTHY. we have a health warranty so obviously puppy mill puppies can’t be under a health warranty. the OWNERS bring the puppies in & they are not for sale until WE send them to the vet & are rendered healthy with no possible health issues. before they are for sale theyre here for atleast a week to settle in

Some of our members are with the hsus, this group was started by people that aren’t in any “animal rights” group. We will not turn someone away because they support peta or hsus, if someone feels they should speak up against petland they are more then welcome to join us. We have done our own research into this petland and all their puppies are from Puppy Mills/BYB’s. That’s a fact!

USDA is always siding with breeders who breeds dogs from puppy mills, and did little to shut the puppy mills down, I think that buying dogs from pet shops that supply dogs from puppy mills is wrong. I also think that the USDA is now a lazy slob. Because when I saw this video for myself, If I run the USDA, I can shut down puppy mills for good.
Well since you know everything, I should also tell you the HSUS lawsuit against petland was dismissed by the judge. You know why? No facts! Stop being tools for HSUS and get the real story about their fundraising practices. Geez…
Please tell everyone to go to animal shelters & rescue organizations when looking for pets. There are thousands & thousands of homeless pets there just waiting for someone to love them.
20 years ago I bought a Lhasa Apso from a private pet shop in Laguna Beach. I paid $550.00 for this puppy only to have to give it away after 2 months of its violent behavior. It was insane. Later seeing videos like this makes me understand why these poor dogs act this way.

Nov. 20, 2008—Today, during a news conference, The Humane Society of the United States reveals the results of an eight-month investigation into Petland Inc., the country’s largest chain of puppy-selling pet stores. The results show that many Petland stores across the country are supporting cruel puppy mills, even while telling unsuspecting customers that the dogs only come from good breeders.
The puppy mills in those pictures are USDA licensed and inspected breeders!
Go to petland, get the name of one of their “breeders” look them up on the USDA web site and start counting their violations!
Hunte sells over 80,000 puppies every year, you cant tell me their only getting their puppies from people that breed responsibly. People bring their puppies to Hunte, Hunte doesn’t inspect or visit the “breeders”.
i’m no fool. Puppy mills do exist but hunte only buys their puppies from usda gov controled breeders. Those ladies in the video just got some horrible pictures and claimed they sold to hunte. Hunte didn’t become a multi million dollar bisneuss by buying from puppy mills. All you idiots have are your stupid claims, you have no proof, thats what makes you pathedic!!

Those pictures are very real. Good breeders would never sell their puppies to a horrible place like Hunte then have them shipped to pet stores.
I have seen undercover investigations done inside of Hunte Corp. Trust me they do buy and sell sick puppies!
Puppy Mills are are cruel but they are still LEGAL and sell puppies everyday. Hunte is no different!
